A family-like structure enables them to learn all personal, social and domestic skills until they leave the residential group. All young people attend school every day, initially with a clear focus on learning the local language so that they can be integrated into a mainstream class or choose a suitable vocational training program, depending on their age.
The young people do their own cooking and washing. They organize themselves into groups or prepare meals for a few days. They also take care of the cleaning work. They are supported in their search for suitable sporting activities. They visit libraries, museums or go to events. The aim is always to encourage them in an age-appropriate way, to familiarize them with our culture and circumstances and to ensure that they are confident and familiar with it.
They are supported in all activities by a residential area manager, social pedagogues and migration specialists. Individual needs and resources are taken seriously and supported and encouraged accordingly. The aim of the support is to guide the young people towards independence in an age- and experience-appropriate manner and to enable them to follow the right path for them as self-confident, responsible adults.
