Parent and family counseling

The internal specialist unit for systemic parent and family counseling at Erlenhof | Stiftung offers a voluntary, outpatient service for parents and families who are either in an inpatient placement situation or need support outside of a placement. The specialist center actively supports the process of placing children or adolescents, promotes cooperation within the family system and with the placing institution. The importance of parental presence is emphasized, even if the young person does not live at home. The aim is to strengthen parental presence during the placement and to promote possible reintegration into the home system.

The systemic parent and family counseling service is also available to parents and families outside of an inpatient placement at Erlenhof | Stiftung. The aim of outpatient support is to positively influence strained systems at an early stage by creating new perspectives and solution spaces for a more constructive and relaxed coexistence within the family. At the same time, the specialist unit actively supports educational professionals in involving parents during long-term inpatient care by providing specialist input and developing everyday processes.
