Lausen

WUMA Lausen, located in the centre of Lausen, comprises a welcoming main residential group for twelve young people. In addition to this offer, there is a cosy 3-room and a 4-room flat, which provide a home for three and four young people respectively as a training residential unit. Our central objective is to accompany young people on their path to integration, to strengthen their independence and to facilitate their optimal integration into society.

In Lausen, a well-coordinated team of six works according to the principle of the caregiver system. Individual support for each young person is at the heart of their commitment. One of the main concerns is to offer the young people a safe space and a place of well-being after their often long and challenging escape, where they can not only find security but also fully develop.

A fundamental element of this approach is the active involvement of young people in almost all areas. Participation is seen as essential for personal development and creates a space in which their voices are not only heard, but also taken seriously. The promotion of independence forms the core of the efforts. The aim is to support young people in the best possible way on their path to social integration. This is promoted by offering targeted support and allowing them to take part in a wide range of activities.
