SIBU – SRIHV

With its specialist areas of advice, training and integration, the Swiss Center for Visual Impairment in the Professional Environment provides a unique and comprehensive range of services for people with a visual impairment in a professional context. Those affected, IV offices and employers are advised, accompanied and supported in the process of professional integration. Our aim is to enable people with a visual impairment to lead as self-determined a life as possible, both at work and at home. Inpatient services are provided in Basel and Lausanne, while outpatient services are offered by SIBU in German-speaking Switzerland and SRIHV in French-speaking Switzerland.

Consulting

The Consulting department offers interdisciplinary support and advice in the integration process for people with a visual impairment. Among other things, it includes the competence area of low vision and offers those affected and IV offices a quick, brief clarification of the current situation with the visually impaired technical assessment.

Training

In the training department, specialized experts train people to work efficiently and in a way that is suitable for the visually impaired and prepare them optimally for training, retraining or returning to work.

Integration

The Integration department offers services in the areas of IT support and training, support in education and workplaces and the adaptation of teaching materials. The aim is the sustainable professional and social integration of our clients.
