Suitability assessment

Vocational assessment is a comprehensive assessment of the client's current situation with a view to professional (re)integration. The clients work in production facilities and are tested in terms of their manual and physical skills as well as their mental and social skills. Aptitude tests are used to determine what educational support is required. All results and recommendations are recorded in writing.

The vocational assessment covers the three basic areas: Occupational skills, mental and social skills and vocational integration options.

In the area of manual and physical skills, clients are assigned various activities and work materials. The aim is to work out preferences and resources and to use these in the context of personal ideas. Psychological and social skills and possibilities are worked out.

After clarifying their manual, physical and mental skills, the person works in a production facility at the institution on a day-to-day basis. In the context of traditional production, the person’s ability to work under pressure and their potential for professional integration are assessed. Vocational aptitude tests are used to determine the specific level of training. In addition, a school assessment can be carried out to clarify the corresponding need for support. These observations and the summarized results are recorded in writing and provided with a recommendation.
