Time-out crisis placement

With a time-out in foster families in German-speaking Switzerland, we can respond to crisis situations and developmental challenges. Taking time out, separating oneself from the familiar environment, enabling abstinence from addictive substances or setting new goals are the main indications for a placement within a time-out.

Time-out crisis placement

The Erlenhof | Stiftung has a number of trained foster families with different local offers, mostly in an agricultural context. This allows us to tailor our interventions as individually as possible.

Placements generally last one to three weeks, but no longer than twelve weeks. In addition to on-site family support, the young person is accompanied by the intervention forum in collaboration with a reference person.

Other options include short-phase experiential educational interventions lasting one to four days. Specific topics and issues can be worked out using experiential spaces within nature and development approaches can be developed for everyday life with the young person.
