The Landhof residential group works on an individual and solution-oriented basis. During their stay, the young people learn to deal with their own issues and personality, to take responsibility for their own actions and to develop their own goals. There are few common rules, but many joint dialogs in which different aspects of everyday life can be negotiated again and again. The focus here is also on allowing all personal concerns to be discussed and, where possible, finding a consensus that suits everyone involved.
The greatest possible degree of self-determination, standing up for oneself and one’s interests and an exchange on an equal footing are important factors that play a role in ensuring that the other person feels comfortable and taken seriously. The young person’s existing resources and, where possible, their environment – especially their family of origin – are actively involved in the development process where necessary. The aim of the overall stay is the next step: the young person’s own form of accommodation, in which they can be released into independence well prepared.
