The Taubenschlag residential group on the Reinach BL site is a socio-pedagogically managed, inpatient residential group for male adolescents. Adolescents whose development is at risk receive support, encouragement, education, care and support appropriate to their situation and personality, as well as a protective environment.

Young people in the Taubenschlag residential group experience new perspectives by setting clear goals. The focus is on personal and professional development. The socio-pedagogical presence in the residential group is guaranteed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The young people are supported in their personal and professional development on the basis of a competence-oriented methodology and jointly developed objectives (participation) in accordance with the caregiver system. The focus is on relationships, clear structures and benevolent confrontation of development issues.

Each young person has a reference person who is in charge of the case. This person deals in depth with the case history and the associated biographical work against the background of lifeworld orientation and developmental tasks. The findings are discussed within the team, but also at an interdisciplinary level. The young person and parents as well as the referring authority/specialist agency are also involved and informed. As a team, we attend regular supervision sessions and undergo continuous further training. For us, good and critical self-reflection is just as much a part of professionalism as the focus on building relationships.
