This service supports pupils and teachers in the final year of lower secondary school in designing teaching and examination formats that are suitable for the visually impaired. In addition, the use of compensatory work techniques can be reviewed and recommendations made for initial steps towards professional integration.

Technical support for visually impaired pupils

Pupils with a visual impairment are dependent on lessons and examinations that are suitable for the visually impaired. Teachers are informed, advised, and supported in their implementation. The consideration of aspects specific to the visually impaired with regard to professional integration is central to making this successful. As part of the technical support for visually impaired pupils, appropriate clarifications are carried out and recommendations are made that enable the IV careers advisors to provide well-founded careers advice together with the pupil and to plan further steps or measures with regard to vocational integration.
