The Integration department offers services in the area of IT support and training, assistance with training and workplaces, and the adaptation of teaching materials. This means that our clients can be optimally supported in their education, at their workplace, or in their search for a suitable job. The primary goal is to achieve sustainable professional and social integration for our clients.

Integration

Equipping people with suitable aids or adapting workstations for the visually impaired allows them to work efficiently at work, in education, and at home. Our IT and low-vision specialists provide individual and needs-oriented support. Specialized coaching experts work with the relevant IV offices to ensure sustainable professional integration. They provide specialist advice and support to teachers, training managers, employers, and other specialist departments, as well as the referring IV offices. A dedicated department for adapting teaching materials ensures that clients in German-speaking Switzerland have barrier-free access to learning content, which is a key success factor for successfully completing training.

Integration offer

Equipment with aids and adaptation of workstations

Equipping workstations with assistive devices and adapting them for the visually impaired enables efficient working methods at work, in training, and at home.

Utility training

This service enables visually impaired people to be trained in the use of compensatory work techniques at a workplace (work, training, school, private) and is tailored to individual needs. If required, the use of new or enhanced assistive software can also be trained.

Specialized IT teaching in commercial apprenticeships

This service enables visually impaired students to complete IT lessons as part of their commercial training. The aim is the successful completion of IT lessons in commercial training courses.

Supported Education

With this service, people undergoing training are accompanied and supported by specialized experts in all aspects specific to the visually impaired. The aim of this service is to ensure successful training in mainstream education.

Supported Employement

With this service, people are supported by a specialist in (re-)entering the workplace and in all aspects specific to the visually impaired. The aim of this service is successful integration into a job in the primary labor market.

Technical support for visually impaired pupils

This service supports pupils and teachers in the final lower secondary level in designing teaching and examination formats that are suitable for the visually impaired. Recommendations can also be made for initial steps towards professional integration.

Job coaching, application course

Specialized job coaches support people with a visual impairment in preparing for the application process and actively accompany them in their search for a suitable job.

Adaptation of teaching materials

This service provides people with visual impairments with barrier-free access to teaching materials and learning platforms.
