Basic training for the visually impaired

Learning to work efficiently and in a visually impaired-friendly way takes time and training. In our technical training courses for the visually impaired, our clients receive competent and needs-oriented training from specialized experts. If required, support can be provided in specialist areas relevant to the profession or preparation (training assignment if necessary) in specific specialist areas for training or retraining. Specific IT or language diplomas can be completed if the relevant requirements are met. Clients are supported by a specialized career coach during the training course and advised on all career-related issues.

The training courses start quarterly and last a minimum of three months (option to extend).

The training can be completed full-time (Monday–Friday) or part-time (2–3 days).If required, the visually impaired-specific residential support in Basel can be utilized.

  • Assessment and training of suitable assistive software and compensatory work techniques on the PC
  • Targeted development of specialist knowledge in occupationally relevant specialist areas, possibility of completing IT or language diplomas
  • If required, promotion of basic vocational qualifications, preparation of application documents, and job application training
