Dual integration program

The program is specifically tailored to unaccompanied, underage asylum seekers. The young people attend the internal language support program for two days - based on the dual bridging offer - and work for three days in a business of the Erlenhof Betriebsverbund. In addition to this daily structure, they are accompanied by a job coach.

Dual integration program

Once the unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMA) have been placed in the initial reception center at Erlenhof | Stiftung, they receive letters of recommendation containing information about their reading skills, interests and career opportunities. With the help of a job coach, the UMA agree an internship contract with an employer, preferably from the Erlenhof | Stiftung external network of facilities in the regular labor market. The internship lasts until the completion of a vocational qualification (EBA or EFZ training) and takes place three days a week, depending on the language support course.

The employer plays an important connecting role in the integration process through the employment contract, which theoretically lasts until the vocational qualification is completed. In cooperation with the job coaches from Soziale Praxis, security and stability are guaranteed throughout the entire process. Linking the desired occupation with integration efforts from the outset enables long-term motivation and commitment to various integration and development programs. Despite language barriers, comprehensive training and know-how acquisition in the field of vocational qualification can take place over a longer period of time, and at the same time the young UMA can take part in a full range of daily structural activities.
