Assisted living

Assisted living is an accompanied, socially integrated service. Ideally, it takes place at the place where the respective person wishes to spend their everyday life after placement at the Erlenhof I Stiftung. A socio-pedagogically trained reference person acts as a residential coach and accompanies the residents in an apartment rented from the Erlenhof I Stiftung. The apartments are located in the north-western part of Switzerland and can be transferred to the person concerned on request after they leave Erlenhof I Stiftung. This enables sustainable and comprehensive integration in their future place of residence during the care period.

In our “assisted living” program, residents are given the opportunity to take a further step towards managing their daily lives independently with the support of a caregiver. In an apartment rented by Erlenhof | Stiftung in the north-west of Switzerland, the people concerned are supported by qualified social-pedagogical residential coaches with regular discussions and meetings (at least 2-4 times a week) on site in the apartment and, if necessary, at their place of work or training. The people receiving support are assisted in a goal-oriented and resource-oriented manner within an independent, autonomous living environment according to their possibilities and abilities.

On request, the apartments can be transferred to the person after they leave Erlenhof | Stiftung, so that after the end of the support process at Erlenhof | Stiftung, the place of residence can be retained and the social integration that has already taken place and is being sought can be maintained.

Assisted living is aimed at people aged 18 and over. It usually lasts one year and can be extended if there is a need and indication.
