Foundation

The purpose of the Erlenhof | Stiftung is to offer a diversified portfolio of social, economic and cultural integration services on behalf of the public sector and to continuously develop these in line with the changing needs of society. The human being as a self-determined individual is at the center of all endeavors.

Preamble Erlenhof | Stiftung Regulations:

Life is the greatest good in this world. Every living being has its own strengths and needs to be treated with respect and consideration. Everything has its own place and its own time in the grand scheme of things. It is the task of all of us to discover this with curiosity and to grow together from the differences.

The Erlenhof | Stiftung provides social practice services and is at the service of society. People are at the center of all our efforts – dialogue is the central instrument of our work. An open and transparent culture of encounter enables us to think in new ways. It is our duty, in responsibility for the future of all of us, to participate in shaping it. Together for the good of society and each for themselves.

Since 1929, Erlenhof, today’s foundation, has been at the service of social security. In all the services provided by the Erlenhof | Stiftung, the person being cared for, the individual, is at the center of all efforts. It is the Foundation’s attitude that it is not the primary task of the person being cared for to integrate into the norms of society, but rather the task of the Foundation to create a learning organization that always offers people the opportunity to develop their own norms and ideas and to find their own place in society. Only in this way can people experience themselves as valuable and develop into self-determined individuals.

For the provision and development of services at Erlenhof | Stiftung, this means continuous further development in line with the needs of the people receiving care and critical reflection on our own actions and on the areas of work and responsibility of the various people involved. This also means developing and establishing a culture of normality, a healthy diversity within the organization, in the sense of a reflection of our society, in order to be able to meet the requirements of normality and inclusion. And ultimately, it also means involving the public in social issues in order to enable genuine inclusion through awareness-raising and co-design.

The Board of Trustees is the highest governing body of the Erlenhof | Stiftung. It is essentially responsible for the strategic management of the foundation in line with the foundation’s purpose as well as the election and appointment of the CEO.
