i-job

Erlenhof | Zentrum supports the i-Job project of social welfare Basel-Stadt and offers permanent jobs with a workload of 50-60% and the aim of social integration. In the i-Job wage model, participants receive an employment contract and a salary paid by the employer.

Many social welfare recipients have a desire for meaningful employment and the social contact they remember from their previous working life. The fact that they are unable to find a suitable job despite their intensive efforts and full commitment can be disappointing. i-Job creates job opportunities that open up new prospects, provide a structured daily routine and promote the development of a fulfilling social network.

i-Job offers simple, generally manual tasks for which no special prior knowledge is required. The program takes into account individual health restrictions and focuses on reliability and self-motivation rather than pressure to perform. It is aimed at people who are looking for a regular daily structure, are interested and motivated to work part-time, are at least 50% able to work and are either over 55 years old or have health restrictions. The main aim of the programme is to promote social integration through permanent and recurring work assignments in order to stabilize their life situation and improve their physical and mental health.
