The nursery team focuses on the care and construction of private gardens throughout the Basel region and the maintenance of green spaces on the Erlenhof grounds. In addition to the maintenance of lawns, ponds, borders, shrubs and hedges, the redesign of a seating area, a herbaceous border or a wall with steps is one of the training-relevant skills that an apprentice acquires during the two to three-year apprenticeship. In addition, work training or day structures are offered in vegetable production to support adults who are entering or re-entering the world of work.
Working in nature with different materials and various plants has a positive effect on the psyche, provides space for reflection and helps to distract.
In addition, the physically demanding work requires fitness, but also mental stamina. Working together as a team and experiencing successes and pushing yourself to the limits helps to shape and strengthen your personality.
